This is my first visit since the new store opened. I was happy to see that the charm of the old Tamaya-san remains the same. This is a typical popular restaurant in Nagoya where you can enjoy everything from rice bowls to noodle dishes such as udon and soba, as well as set meals. Since the time of the old store, it has been famous for serving a large amount of rice. Even if it's an average size, it's more than a large size. This time I ordered the standard miso cutlet set meal. I asked for the smallest size of rice, ``a little serving,'' but it was still quite filling. The cutlet is crispy and fragrant, and the miso is slightly sweet and rich. Speaking of miso cutlet in Nagoya, Yabaton is famous, but I prefer Tamaya's miso cutlet. In addition, the red miso soup had a good dashi flavor and was a delicious dish that directly touched the hearts of Nagoyan people. The traditional miso cutlet set meal was delicious. I arrived after 1:00 pm on a Saturday, and there was quite a line, so I decided to share a table. The store is loved by customers of all ages, from seniors to young people. The location of the entrance has been changed to a much more recessed location.

I've been there a few times before it was renovated. I went there for the first time since it was new. The store was so beautiful that I almost passed by it (lol) There were about two groups in line on a weekday afternoon, but the turnover was fast. My husband has a regular katsudon set meal ← It's a regular size in the photo lol I usually have a fried chicken set meal. Both are 1250 yen. I love fried chicken with a thin batter, so I can't resist \( ´ω` )/ About the amount of white rice on the menu Small → 300g I wrote that it was a little bit → 200g, so if it's a normal size, you might have 400g of rice (lol) I had a little left, so I told the store clerk, and she gave me a pack for 30 yen, so I took it home. It would be a shame to leave it alone if it costs about 30 yen. It was also written on the menu that only those who can eat the large portion should order it. Tamaya-san takes the trouble to provide delicious food at a low price. I ate the rest for dinner (* 'ᵕ' )☆
