I love this place. You feel you are time traveling to Showa period. All the food is just authentic and fulfilling. The owner has been opening this place for more than 5 decades. I really would like him to continue to stay healthy and keep opening.

It's a Showa retro set meal restaurant that looks just like it looks. I wonder if the owner is managing the food by himself...When you choose what you want to eat from the showcase, he heats it up for you. The inside of the store is so comfortable that you will want to stay for a long time. The host is kind, the food is cheap, and the food is nutritious! I was surprised that there seems to be a table in the back across from the kitchen 😆

I used it for lunch. I received a large bowl of rice, pork soup, pork cutlet, and assorted side dishes for 860 yen. From the outside, it is a set meal restaurant that has a dark and long-established feel to it. Side dishes are chosen from a showcase. I had the tonkatsu heated. A large serving of rice is quite filling. The pork soup was made with red miso. I thought the tonkatsu was a little hard, but it wasn't freshly fried, so it can't be helped. The side dish platter was soaked spinach, boiled Japanese yam, and boiled beans. I'm happy with vegetables. Given the volume, I thought 860 yen was cheap.
