Inuyama, Aichi, Japan｜Matsunosato

I had the best chicken udon of my life here. We just moved to Inuyama and loved the chicken udon here. It was simple but delicious. The older lady that served us was super nice and helpful. The place is adorable and even had a bookshelf and manga you could read. We'll be going here a lot!

Used for dinner when sightseeing in Inuyama. It's located very close to the station, and the store is set back deeper than I expected, so it's surprisingly spacious. I wanted to sit down and have a drink while looking at the various menus, so I ordered salt-grilled sweetfish and a small bottle of Inuyama's sake ``Koyutsuru''. The salt-grilled sweetfish that arrived was served with tago vinegar, which is rare in a small izakaya, and since it was early summer, I felt good as I thoroughly enjoyed the sweetfish with alcohol. As I was eating sweet sweetfish and drinking alcohol, I noticed that at first there were only one other customer, but locals and foreign tourists started coming in and the restaurant became lively and popular. After enjoying the sweetfish, I ordered ankake kishimen to finish the meal, and it was quite delicious! I've eaten Kakishimen many times when I came to Nagoya, but this one might be the best. It wasn't anything special, but the combination of the soft stewed kishimen and the light, warm soup stock was exquisite and extremely delicious. There are many restaurants around Inuyama Station, but most of them are chain exhibitions or newly opened shops with slightly more expensive prices. In such a situation, I am very happy to have visited this place while sightseeing to find out that there is a shop like this that has been in the local area for a long time.

I stopped by on my way back from Inuyama Castle Town during Golden Week. When I told them that the jakooroshi and boiled tofu I ordered were very delicious and that the local sake from Inuyama was delicious, they talked about all kinds of Japanese sake.A mother and son who are easy to talk to?
