Matsusaka, Mie, Japan｜Asanoya

I have been here twice and honestly, this is one of my favourite restaurants in matsusaka. The owner is also the chef and the wait staff. Despite being a one-man show, the food and service never decreases in quality, even when it gets busy. He's attentive and friendly, and you can tell he takes pride in his food. The tuna is incredibly fresh and with more than 20 tuna items on the menu, you know he's an expert. We never knew deep-fried tuna could taste almost like fried chicken (or even better!!). I got hungry typing this and already want to go back lol. A+++ my favourite!! Thank you! ❤️ I recommend the maguro don, maguro karaage, and maguro miso katsu!

the food was fresh and very delicious, the quality was good and the price was not expensive. the owner, also the chef, was very nice, communicated patiently with us, always with smile. we stayed at Matsusaka for three nights, went there for dinner twice. the shop located very near the station.

The food was high quality and so very delicious. Most things are with maguro (tuna), and so good that it turned my night around. It also was because the restaurant was clean, neat, cozy, and quiet at 19:30 on a weeknight. The owner is very kind and nice. I had the fried maguro set, and my friend had the magurodon (tuna rice bowl). Enjoy!
