Matsusaka, Mie, Japan｜Motoori-an

Delicious, unique, and great family business. It was the first time seeing darker tororo, and the taste was also different from others I've had! I think the flavours paired very well with each other. Just be careful if you have sensitive skin like me, yam can cause slight itching and inflammation if you're not used to eating it!

This is a small and unique shop. The combination of the wild yam and the dashi stock gives it a thick yet sharp taste⭕️. Combined with the Matsusaka Castle ruins, it gives off a nice sense of wabi-sabi. It was a big hit.

2023.10.15 I started exercising partly because of the Matsusaka Marathon. I was too hungry so I went to Honkyoan for a healthy meal🚙💨 I ordered the Tsukimi Tororo Yamakake Japanese set meal which was ``really good'' and came with boiled large chestnuts, Japanese yam salad, mukago & black sesame pudding😋 Delicious. [Before] The delicious tuna 🐟 bowl was delicious and went well with the natural raw ingredients. I felt like I had returned home to the countryside, so I relaxed and fell asleep.
