Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan｜CAFE B KARUIZAWA

I learned about this cafe and hotel after going to the antique shop Berlinetta and stopped by for lunch. I visited by myself, but I thought it was a nice place with a calm and nice environment. The interior of the store has an antique feel, as it is attached to an antique shop, and there are private rooms, a terrace, and seating on the second floor. Since it was a weekday in September, there were no other customers when I entered, and only two groups came in later. (Since Taliesin and the Botanical Gardens are within walking distance, I think it will be more crowded during Golden Week and summer vacation.) Lunch includes pasta and curry, and there are two types of pasta: mentaiko pasta and basil cream. Contents: appetizer → mushroom potage → pasta → dessert & drink (coffee or tea) I also ordered a glass of red wine. The mushroom potage had a strong mushroom flavor and was creamy and delicious, and the pear compote for dessert? It's refreshing and I feel like I can eat it even if I'm full. The inside of the restaurant has a calm antique style, and the view from the window is calm, so I was able to really relax and spend an elegant time in the style of Karuizawa. Does the lunch menu change regularly? Apparently they also have afternoon tea, so I would like to go there again when I come to Karuizawa.

Karuizawa's favorite furniture store, Berlinetta's hotel cafe! I've always wanted to go there, but I couldn't find the right time to schedule it, so I was finally able to go this time. I received a spaghetti set with smoked mentaiko, and my wife, who went with me, had the daily pasta special, cream pasta with lemon and tuna. Both had unique flavors and were very delicious. The mushroom potage also had the flavor of the mushroom ingredients. Since they are serving breakfast, lunch is only served until 2:00 pm. We also offer afternoon tea, although reservations are required. Unlike a typical afternoon tea, it seems like it could be eaten as a light meal, and the main dish would be sandwiches rather than sweets. 2022/10/04 Fine weather!! I visited for lunch with 3 adults. It is close to Hatsuji Ichiba and does not face the street, so be careful when you look for the sign when you go nearby. The store has its own parking lot (free). It is a good cost performance that is unthinkable in Karuizawa. In addition to the photo, it comes with a rich mushroom potage and coffee or tea for 1,650 yen (tax included). The inside of the store was good and beautiful, and the food was carefully arranged and very delicious. The smile of the staff was also a wonderful shop.
