More Comments at Google MapA cafe served by the Nikko Kanaya Hotel on the second floor of the former British Embassy villa. A set of authentic tea and scones is delicious. It has been beautifully renovated and is very rich and the location is great. While I was resting, the pleasure boats passed in front of me many times from left to right. The adjoining former Italian embassy villa has a different taste and is very stylish. The use of cedar bark on the inner and outer walls is delicate. It looks like an exhibition hall of how to braid cedar bark.
Being able to drink tea in this wonderful location atmosphere is the ultimate in luxury. There aren't that many seats, and the seats are thinned out, so you might have to wait a little. (It feels like a corner space on the second floor of the building is a cafe) Let's take a slow look at Lake Chuzenji and wait. The weather is getting better, so the windows are open and the ventilation is great. The voice of the spring seminar and the wind blowing across the surface of the lake sway the sunlight filtering through the trees. The surface of Lake Chuzenji also shines brightly. If you ask for a scone set, you will receive good quality scones (2 types) and black tea. It comes with clotted cream. The scones are crispy. Let's eat while drinking tea while it's warm. Black tea tends to get darker over time, so it would have been nice to have some milk. While saying that, I drank a pot. The tableware is barley. I chose this pattern because I thought it would match the interior. The decorated red saucer was accented with a Chinoiserie feel. Aynsley-like.
I ordered a scone tea set. Scones come plain, walnut & almond, clotted cream and strawberry jam. You can choose from three types of black tea and it is served in a pot. You can enjoy about 3 cups of black tea without it becoming bitter as it does not contain tea leaves. Since the towels were from Kanaya Hotel, I wondered if the scones and baked goods were provided by Kanaya Hotel. It was very delicious and we had a quiet and elegant time overlooking Lake Chuzenji.
