Iwata, Shizuoka, Japan｜おやつカフェGuug.

Visited in May 2023. I've always wanted to visit and was finally able to go. When I went there at 13:30 on a weekday, there were two groups of customers first. The scones were only chocolate chip and limited edition caramel cheese, so I bought two of each. I eat scones from various bakeries and scone shops, but these scones are by far the most delicious! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dough itself is very delicious, as it uses domestic wheat, fermented butter, and sugar beet. Next time, I want to do my best and line up from the opening to try the other varieties (´∀｀)

I came to the store around 13:30. It's been a while.... I bought 3 types of chocolate bananas, chocolate chips, and rich sugar that will be baked at 13:00. It's a stable deliciousness ❤️

[Snack Cafe Guug.] Located about 3 kilometers away from Iwata City Station in Shizuoka Prefecture, this is a take-out sweets shop that is in an interesting position due to its location and popularity, which lives up to its reputation as ``people in the know.'' Recommended is definitely the scones. An acquaintance of mine said something like, ``Starbucks scones are bread, and scones here are scones,'' something that seems to evoke various emotions in various people (lol). Scones are a British confectionery that is usually eaten with tea, so if you don't have a drink in hand, you'll choke, so a drink is definitely a must. Apparently tea is good if possible. I also recommend coffee ☕️ as it goes really well with it. The chocolate scone in the photo was so moist that I could go without a drink. If you have something to do in Iwata City, you might want to stop by Oyatsu Cafe Guug!
