Kakegawa, Shizuoka, Japan｜Number A coffee

Charming coffee shop in Kakegawa. They have a great selection of specialty coffee and sweets—my friend had an affogato and said it was the best he’d ever had. Pleasant outdoor seating. Not far from Kakegawa Castle and certainly worth the detour.

If you are in Kakegawa, and not too sure where to go for Coffee, then this is the place. A little off the path, if found, you are treated to a wooden cabin with great deserts and a rather decent selection of Coffees from differenr parts of the world...but not overwelming. Deserts are quite dandy, and if that isnt enough, there are cookie and brownies at the front. If the weather is right, sit outside on the deck. The seating is slightly better and the atmosphere is just at that smooth point of going on a datw, or take your parents.

This is a recommended shop if you want to drink delicious coffee in Kakegawa. There are tables for one, two, and four people inside the restaurant, as well as terrace seating, so even if you stop by by yourself, it's a calm and relaxing space. The parking space seems to have been expanded by creating the site of a former rice field next door, so it's easy to get into. It seems that you can only stay in the store for up to 90 minutes, so it may not be suitable for people who like to work hard. On this day, I had the creme brûlée chiffon cake, and it was delicious with just the right amount of sweetness and a nice crunchy texture from the sugar.
