I ordered hojicha shaved ice and grapefruit gyokuro. It seems that Fujinomiya tea is used, and it was delicious. I received hot tea and sweets at the service. I was able to relax while looking at the tea plantation from the window.

I found this shop after searching for a place to take a break while driving, rather than at a chain store, but at a local cafe. A tea shop and cafe located in a peaceful area of about half private houses and half tea fields, slightly up the foot of the mountain from Fujinomiya city. When I visited at the same time as the opening on weekdays, there was no first customer. In the center of the shop is the product sales area, behind it is a showcase for cakes and a cash register, and there are 6-7 eat-in counters along the wall on one side of the shop. In addition, there are two terrace table seats on both sides of the entrance of the store. Looking at the menu, it is surprisingly cheap for this type of stylish cafe! Drinks in the 200 yen range are too conscientious... I wanted to try oyster ice, but since it was before rice, I ordered matcha gelato, hojicha, and a matcha drink (made with a tea whisk). As for the gelato, there were two choices on the menu: "Matcha & Milk" and "Hojicha & Milk", but when I asked, "Can you make this with matcha and hojicha?" Thank you. While waiting for the ordered items to be ready, I received a small cup of sencha and an accompaniment (with plenty of black sesame). This sencha is the right temperature and fragrant. It's sober and delicious... When the gelato arrives, it looks thick and the tension rises. The matcha level of matcha ice cream is about level 4, which is what "Nanaya" and "Chakichi" say. The bitterness of the matcha is there, but the milkiness still remains. Oh! It was the hojicha that made me say that. It's hard to come across a strong hojicha ice cream, but this one has a strong aroma and is less milky. However, I feel that both are "ice cream" rather than "gelato". I wonder if the milk fat content is less than 8%... The matcha in the drink seemed to be made by a machine, but there were no lumps and the strength was just right. If it were in Tokyo or a tourist spot, it would cost more than double and it would be extremely crowded, but it's still not well known, isn't it? I felt like I earned it♪ Thank you for the meal.

You can eat matcha ice cream that has a very rich and bitter taste. The voluminous shaved ice is also bittersweet and delicious when eaten with the surrounding condensed milk mousse.
