More Comments at Google MapThe location is difficult to find, but we arrived with the help of navigation. I couldn't see anything that looked like a store from the parking lot, so I looked around a bit...I went up the large white stairs and looked around again... When I entered the store, I was given the choice of a tatami room or a table, so I chose the tatami room. The atmosphere is nostalgic and relaxing. We had a wonderful time chatting leisurely while enjoying pudding and hojicha. An old folk house cafe that will soothe you.
This cafe has a rental space in a renovated old folk house that is over 100 years old. If you are driving, it is located close to Fujisan Hongu Sengen Shrine. On this day, I visited to participate in a workshop on making flowers for New Year's decorations. Flowers were beautifully arranged at the entrance and New Year's decorations were already being prepared, and from this point on I felt like I was being welcomed. When you enter, there is a cafe space leading from the entrance and a rental space of about 20 tatami mats on the left. The rental space is a Japanese-style room with a wide veranda. It is a calm space with a low ceiling and thick beams, typical of an old folk house. I had Basque cheesecake and chai, and both felt like I was being treated with care and hospitality. The Basque cheesecake was served with salt and pepper, which added a nice accent to the rich taste of the cake, and it was very delicious. The chai also came with a small coconut cookie, which gave it a pleasant crunchy texture. The products on display were very modern and I ended up taking some home with me. I could feel the owner's good taste and love for this house.
We enjoyed homemade pudding in a calm space. There are various tables, and if the timing is right, you can freely choose one and enjoy the cafe. It's an old folk house, so we had fun and calm conversations everywhere we looked. Perhaps because it is difficult to find the parking location in the parking lot, some customers park anywhere they like, so it would be appreciated for newcomers if you could make the parking location easier to understand.
