More Comments at Google MapIt was just empty on the way back from Sayo's cafe, so I stopped by. 14 kinds of gelato in the showcase. The tomatoes I was most worried about were sold out. disappointing. I had fig and mushroom gelato (400 yen) Kinako was especially delicious.
On my way back to Kansai from Hiroshima Prefecture, I found this shop along the route specified by Google Maps. As a geography geek, I was interested in where is the border between Kansai dialect (Keihan accent) and Okayama dialect (Tokyo accent), and after listening to a conversation between a store staff member and a customer, I realized that this is Sayo. As a Kanto person, I knew that the town was completely within the Kansai dialect area. Well, this gelato, 350 yen, is very delicious. You can choose up to 2 types. Hot coffee is also delicious. It's a great stopping point on a wonderful journey.
Usually there are a lot of people so I pass by, but today it was empty so I stopped by. Unlike the stylish Italian-style exterior, the interior is Showa-style. You can't see it from the front entrance, but the cash register and ice case are on the right side. If it was my first time, cream would probably be better, but I wanted to eat soybean flour, so I chose it. I wanted to try something else, so I chose tomatoes. It starts with sour tomatoes and goes well with soybean flour-flavored ice cream. The figs were also delicious. The quantity is a little small, but I think it's worth it for 350 yen.
