A beautifully well maintained 170 year old traditional wooden house.

I’d been meaning to go there for too long and recently made it out there finally!! Fukuchin is the old Japanese style cafe renovated and as you can see from the photos, it is very cozy relaxing place surrounded by stunning beautiful nature🌿 The owner and the staff will welcome you friendly so you will find it very comfortable staying there. We had a vegan curry which they do every Friday and it was fantastic. Everything on the menu is from the local farm so did the organic herbs tea we had with dessert:):) Highly recommend this place if you’re planing to stay a couple of days in Hiroshima. You will enjoy the beautiful inaka views on the way there:):)

I went there to eat shaved ice. Although the building is very old, it has a tasteful appearance and a very relaxing feeling. My husband told me that it was quite hot that day, and that there were no air conditioners, so I thought, ``Are you serious?'', but I didn't feel that hot because I was in the mountains. The inside was very nice as well, and we sat at the window seat in the back. Although the backyard is a little unmaintained, it still has a nice atmosphere and the cool breeze coming in through the screen door makes it feel comfortable. As for the shaved ice, I had Shichifuku Hori and my husband had Yogurt Hori. When I took the first bite, it was completely different from the usual crunchy shaved ice, and it melted in my mouth before I knew it.It had a very strange texture and was extremely delicious😋. Also, I was very satisfied as it came with various toppings so I could enjoy a lot of flavors. It's a bit expensive, but I'm satisfied with this amount. It was a shaved ice that I would want to eat again. My husband also seemed to enjoy the yogurt sauce and said "delicious, delicious" over and over again. They also have tea and dumplings, so I thought they could be enjoyed not only in summer but also in winter.
