Hashima, Gifu, Japan｜Den

I went to Gifu from Nagoya for work, so I decided to visit Cafe Den in Hashima City for lunch on a weekday. It was an old shop, and at 11:30, when morning and lunch were being replaced, young women were coming home from breakfast, and office workers from the neighborhood were coming in for lunch. It's quite a thriving store! There are various lunch options, but the miso cutlet set meal (800 yen) comes with a large serving of rice (100 yen). Not only is the rice portion gorgeous, but the number of items is amazing! The main miso cutlet comes with rice, red soup stock, salad, takuan, 3 small side dishes, chawanmushi, tea, and an after-meal drink, so the tray is full! It seems that all seats are non-smoking, which is unusual for this type of restaurant. There is also plenty of parking near the store. I would go there if it was nearby (^-^)

it's one of my favourite stores. All the staff are warm and homely like mothers. The rice is also voluminous, and it is also delicious like a mother's homemade side dish. It's always crowded, so I wonder if it's hard to enter alone.

I came here for lunch on Saturday after hearing high reviews from friends. As expected, I was satisfied with the content. If I have time, I would like to have lunch on other days of the week as well.
