Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan｜Gochimon

At first, the staff seemed surprised to see us so I am guessing that they don't get a lot of Americans but they warmed up right away. The people were fun and friendly and the food was good. Great location for a late night snack close to the train station. Good air conditioning was an added bonus for a hot and humid Japanese summer night. My orange sour was delicious. Very reasonably priced.

This is a relatively cheap and easy-to-use shop in front of Hamamatsu Station. In particular, I thought the gyoza was a pretty good restaurant around here, and it was nice to be able to drink Shizuoka-only beer.

I was looking for a Hamamatsu Gyoza restaurant around Hamamatsu Station and found this place. It was about a 5 minute walk from the station. Although it was not listed in the business hours on Google Maps, it was open for lunch around 2pm. As a precaution against the coronavirus, alcohol disinfectant is also placed at each desk. I ordered the Hamamatsu gyoza set meal for 500 yen. It comes with 6 gyoza, rice, soup, small side dish, and salad, and I think the one-coin price is an exceptional price. The large wings of the gyoza were crispy and delicious. I was also left with a good impression by the staff's kind customer service.
