Hakuba, Nagano, Japan｜Izakaya Cakuichi

We felt kinda special even getting into this beautiful restaurant. It feels very Japanese and everything just seemed "right". The food was excellent, the atmosphere was special. We were in there for two hours and it seemed like an hour max. The food is excellent as well. Very special experience.

Hole in the wall izakaya near The Happo resort, in the heart of Hakuba! We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, with the warm service and hospitality of the chef and his assistant. Sashimi was super fresh and generous, and don’t forget to order the prawn ajillo and yosenabe - end off with chef’s special (rice, cheese and egg)! Note that there is a minimum order of one drink per person, and do book in advance as they only have 10 seats (:

Another amazing evening at the best restaurant in Hakuba. Combination Sashimi, Mutton Agillo and Hot Pots suitably partnered with a range of fine French Bordeaux’s.
