Right next door to the hotel. Has a large menu with lots of tasty options, all at a reasonable price. They said they had an English menu, but we stuck with the Japanese. The okonomiyaki was big for the price and done well. The Ko-shi is a poor man’s espresso martini, and with the ice cream float option was surprisingly pleasant. The decor also deserves a mention as it’s very Showa kitsch with the background music to boot. Staff friendly and helpful. Worth a stop if you’re in the neighbourhood.

This is a Showa era izakaya that can get pretty packed. It's really delicious and worth the wait to get in, if you have to wait. They have a huge selection of Japanese food. From okonomiyaki to yakitori, kushikatsu, and oden, plus ice cream floats and cheap drinks. It's also conveniently located across the street from Koriyama station.
