A long-established set meal restaurant located just off a dead-end road on the north bank of Watarase Bridge. I've been interested in this place for a long time, but because there's no parking lot, I haven't been there for several decades. When I looked it up on the internet, it said that it was okay to park in a slightly wider area along the guardrail right next to the store, but I was worried about parking being restricted, so it was 6 minutes from the nearest free parking lot, Orihime Kanko Parking Lot. I decided to walk a distance of 400m. There were about two other customers in the store. It has the atmosphere of a Showa era diner. Looking at the menu, you'll find most of the standard diner options. This time I ordered katsudon. Super cheap at 700 yen. Comes with miso soup and pickles with eggplant and bean sprouts. When I tried it, it was delicious with a sweet seasoning sauce. It's a katsudon that has the ideal taste you've been looking for. I hope people will think that the taste is almost the same as the Gakkutei branch in Kashima-cho in Ashikaga, and the Sakamotoya in Nishi-Ogikubo in Tokyo. Unfortunately, both stores have closed. Fortunately, there is still a Hokushinken that serves similar katsudon.

I went to a famous restaurant to eat. I was seated comfortably. I ate the set meal. Hamburger rice set meal 750 yen. Tender meat and vegetables. The sweet sauce brings out the deliciousness. I was able to eat in peace. I want to go again.

The atmosphere is nostalgic for the elderly, and the younger generation will feel the atmosphere of the 30s and 40s of the Showa era. The store staff also provides warm customer service that is difficult to experience in this day and age. For meals, we offer nostalgic set meals, rice bowls, ramen, etc. You can also eat Ashikaga's famous shumai (onion) here. You can also eat it with Ashikaga's specialty sauce. The poster in the shop was taken in this shop. I don't think it's an exaggeration to call it a historical heritage. If you are a tourist or a first-time visitor, please park in a free parking lot provided by Ashikaga City if you do not use public transportation. I think that it will be a good memory to visit while walking around the city and sightseeing. The regulars who live in the local area understand various things and deal with it, so I would like people who visit from outside to protect the store for those who come after tasting without making noise. . I think.
