A restaurant where you can eat Ashikaga's specialties. It is run by two elderly couples. Both of them are in the kitchen, so you need to ask them when you arrive. R5.11 Entered the store around 1:50 p.m. Even at this time, it was almost full 🈵. There were three customers in front of me, and I was told that it would take a while for the food to be served, so I agreed. There are 3 parking spaces behind the 7-Eleven, which is a little far away. By the way, as I was walking from the parking lot to the store, I encountered two stray cats😺😸. Seating is free, and once you are seated, you will be provided with hot tea and a teapot. There are 4 table seats and 2 small seats. On the table are soy sauce, sauce, shichimi chili pepper, white pepper, toothpicks, and a menu. I ordered the recommended "Ajifurai set meal" for 1,000 yen including tax. 🙋 At first, I wanted to order the ``Gakkou-sama soup set meal,'' but considering the unit price of Kenchin soup was 250 yen, I didn't feel it was a good value for money, so I went for the version without it. 🤭 The rice bowl is ready in about 30 minutes. 🐴🌿 The three-dimensionally arranged fried horse mackerel consisted of three halves, the batter was crispy, and the meat was soft, fluffy and juicy.I never thought that such delicious fried horse mackerel could be eaten in Tochigi Prefecture, which has no sea. 🥰 It's amazing how perfectly fried it is and there are no small bones at all. 😍 Of all the fried horse mackerel I've ever eaten, it's in the top 3🎉🏅 To begin with, I don't really like fried horse mackerel that much. 😜 There were three halves on its body, but I guess it was a coincidence that all of them had tails. 🤔 Garnishes included shredded cabbage, cut tomatoes, spaghetti salad, cut lemon, and mustard. The rice was average in both hardness and quantity. The miso soup had just the right amount of seasoning, and the topping was clams, but there wasn't much meat compared to the amount of shells. 😅 There were several kinds of pickles that looked like they were homemade, and I personally found them delicious. 😋 It also came with a cold drink. Most people ordered another recommended item, the ``Karariko Set''. Of course, that's the Ashikaga specialty, but I recommend the fried horse mackerel. 🙆 When I asked the owner on my way home, he told me that his recommended dish is fried horse mackerel, and he seems to be very particular about it, and it seems like it's hard to buy good horse mackerel these days. 💦 Regular customers who come here often order fried horse mackerel. 😏

Dinner when staying in Ashikaga is here. First of all, the second Kariko set meal. Sauce cutlet main, shumai and shimi miso soup, boiled soy sauce and pickles are all convincing tastes. I also got fried oysters. This is a crispy batter that can be said to be fried. Soft and fluffy body. It seems that it takes a little time because it is handmade from scratch. Above all, it is delicious, and the warmth of the elderly couple heals the tiredness of the trip.

Visited for the first time in decades. Three family members had fried oysters, fried shrimp, fried horse mackerel, sauce cutlet bowl, and Ashikaga Shumai. The interior of the store, which has been around for a long time and has not changed much since those days, is full of cleanliness. There is no dust on the condiments on the table. Draft beer, which I didn't order back then, was handmade by my wife? A cute cloth coaster. The food that was brought... The fries are crispy just by looking at them, and the hot miso soup is steaming hot. “The fried oysters were so big and had so much flavor.” "Plump and filling fried shrimp. It's so flavorful and sweet." That's right, the reason why my sister and I love fried shrimp, fried oysters, and fried horse mackerel is the origin of this flavor. It was delicious even without the tartar. Ashikaga, even my nephew who is a high school student experienced the taste of this restaurant for the first time "The sauce cutlet bowl is soft and the sauce tastes great! It's a revolution in fried horse mackerel! Hey, the miso soup and the small bowl of spinach boiled are really delicious!" The brightly colored pickled eggplant served as a garnish, the chilled tofu topped with grated ginger and green onions instead of a tube, and the spaghetti salad served modestly next to the cabbage...all of these are meticulously crafted. Outstanding deliciousness that is transmitted properly. While I was eating, I almost cried. Of course, corona measures such as ventilation are solid. On the way home, the owner kindly let me see his face from the kitchen. It really warmed my heart. Thank you for your continued deliciousness. I think it's going to be a lot of trouble with physical strength and corona vortex, but I'd like you to continue to do business for a long time within a reasonable range. Will definitely visit again. This time, I will also ask for "Taikasu", which my late mother loved.
