More Comments at Google MapYou can enjoy 3 baths with very reasonable price, 500 yen. 2 outdoor bath and one inside. You can try clay beauty mask for free. There is 4 lunch sets including the price of bathing for 1,000 yen. It was so nice. The former Japanese Emperor Akihito and his Empress visited here once.
The alkaline hot water is a hidden hot spring that you will notice as soon as you step into it. There may not be many famous hot springs in the Kanto region that are clearly recognizable, but they are nothing to be underestimated. However, it looks colorless, transparent, and plain. Now, being located in Bato Onsenkyo, this place has a particularly B-class feel and Showa era atmosphere, and I recommend it to those who like that kind of thing. The rest space is also reminiscent of a Showa-era inn, which belies its glittering and gorgeous feel, but I find it very comfortable. It's also great that you can freely drink hot spring water at the rest area. Please note that they do not offer discounts for people with disabilities. Also, if you want to add something to the bathtub, they also offer free mud packs where you apply mud to your face yourself. I don't know if this is permanent or not. In any case, you can put small children together even if they are of different genders, and I can recommend it to those who value that aspect. Regarding the parking lot, there are some places where the wheel stops are a little high, but unless you are a Shakotan car, there should be no problem even with a sports sedan. If your car is short, you can park it without having to back up that far.
Day trip hot spring at Nanpeidai Onsen Hotel. It used to be popular for watching Kabuki plays, but now it's only open for hot springs. (Hotel is open normally) Admission to the baths is reasonably priced at 500 yen for adults with a ticket purchase. Although the building is old, it is kept well-maintained. The hot springs are slimy and smooth alkaline springs that are said to be beauty hot springs. The water temperature is appropriate. There is a bust in the indoor bath, and a nude female statue in the outdoor bath, giving it a bubble feel. There are two open-air baths, and the one in the back is filled with toys that look like ducks, making it very popular with families. There were also free mud packs available in the open air, and there were quite a few men who tried them out. There is also a toilet, which is rare, so it's quite comfortable. The manga and game corner in the rest area after taking a bath is reminiscent of the Showa era. You can eat on the first floor, and it looks delicious. There is also a drinkable hot spring that you should definitely try. This area has a beautiful sunset view, so we recommend visiting during that time.
