Okayama, Japan｜JR 貨物食堂

I went on a trip with friends in February. This is a cafeteria for JR Freight employees, but it is also open to the general public. However, since it is next to a freight station (some distance from the city), it is difficult to access as it is about a 20 minute walk from the nearest Okayama Station. I came around 13:00, so it was reserved for everyone lol I ordered fried rice (with miso soup) and it was delicious with a gentle flavor (*^^*) According to my friend, the kale cutlet is also really delicious. If I ever go to Okayama again, I want to go there 😊

As the name suggests, this employee cafeteria is open to the public and is a favorite of JR staff. Kake udon/soba starts at 180 JPY, making it an overwhelming value for money.

Even though I went there just before closing time, they were open and waiting for me. I ate katsudon and kake udon and it was delicious! If I lived around here I would come here every day. Uncle and aunty feast!
