I visited on a lightly rainy Saturday when the store opened. Immediately after entering the store, two groups of local customers arrived. I ordered yakisoba, Kanto stew, and oden. I was relieved to hear the conversation between the general and his wife with the other customers, and I was relieved again in the Showa-style atmosphere of the restaurant, and enjoyed the delicious food. When I told him on the way home that I had come from Hiroshima to eat, he was surprised and said, ``Why did you come all the way to eat at my place?'' But I'm glad I went all the way. Next time I want to eat fried udon! I want a store like this to continue forever.
