The menu is full of set meals such as pork cutlet and fried shrimp. This time, I ordered the ``Tonkatsu Set Meal (Special)'' and my companions ordered ``Large Shrimp Fried'' and ``Tare Katsudon.'' The Tonkatsu set meal (special) consists of rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and a main dish. The Oshinka plate also comes with Zenigata's familiar ``Karazukuri''. The tonkatsu sauce is served in a large pot, which is rare these days, and is self-serve, which is a nice touch. The tonkatsu (special) is huge and has a big size on the plate. The volume is perfect as each piece is filling. Since it is served freshly fried, the batter is crispy and the meat inside is soft and easy to eat. The overflowing juicy flavor went perfectly with the homemade special sauce and it was delicious!!

I've been going here for over 30 years. The volume, the texture, the deliciousness of the meat, the softness, it's the best. The calendar looks nice too. More in the past. The building is also great. A large serving of cutlet curry is the best! ^_^

It was my first time in Joetsu, and I stopped by Zenigata for my first meal in Joetsu. I had a tonkatsu set meal. The set meal was delicious, and the friendly and gentle clerk was also good. I will drop by when I come near again.
