Toba, Mie, Japan｜Shinano

We were on a Journey from Osaka to Mt Fuiji, and Central Toba was a pit stop for us. We chanced upon some awesome food in a family owned restaurant, and a very friendly elderly couple who made us various great dishes! The Aunt who served us is superbly kind and sweet, and made sure we were served well! Here is what we ordered: Okonomiyaki (Mochi & Cheese) | Egg Cheese Ommelette | Stir Fried Vegetable | Enoki Pork Roll Their last order is around 830 - 9pm and we were lucky enough to find them just before they close! Shinano is a restaurant that feels like an okonomiyaki izakaya that opens in the evening. It's a popular restaurant in Toba, so I think it's best to make a reservation. I made a reservation this time as well and went. Those without reservations were turned away. The taste is perfect, it's soft, and it's delicious no matter who eats it. The side menus are also delicious. You can also eat monjayaki, which is rare in the Ise-Shima area. Since it's okonomiyaki and it's being prepared by a couple, it takes a little time. It was delicious and the lady was so nice! It was such a good store that I wanted to take the whole store home with me. If I have a chance to come to Toba again, I will definitely come back. By the way, each person comes with two onigiri. I didn't know that, and my stomach was so full.
