Hiroshima, Japan｜Okonomiyaki Teppan-yaki Momiji-Tei

I highly recommend this place! The 2 cooks are incredibly skilled at their job, providing you with the most amazing tasting Okonomiyaki in a very relaxed setting. I felt very welcomed from start to end. 1 of the cooks even pulled a little Delft's blue statue out for me when i told him i was from the Netherlands! There is a good array of different ways to sit, which is nice. You can sit by the bar and enjoy the making of your food or by a table with multiple people. The food is superb. I had an omelet & Okonomiyaki. If you are close-by, give this place a try.

Great experience! We had the omelette to start, oysters (exceptional!), and the seafood okonomiyaki. Service was prompt and staff were very friendly. The decor showed a lot of personality as the walls were adorned with manga & anime characters, Mazda cars, and a world map showing where customers had come from. It is a small restaurant so you'll have to wait if it's full as there are only two chefs but it was worth the ~30 minute wait!

It was my first time eating Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki and I was so pleased by it. They tasted amazingly delicious. The tamagoyaki was also incredibly yummy. But the best part is the owner, he manages the restaurant alone by himself and works hard to keep the service at its best. It’s stated on the information outside the shop, we waited but it was more than worth it. The kind owner apologized countless times for making us wait such long time but I was just worried seeing that he was working so hard to do everything by himself. I was amazed by the amount of work he was doing alone, serving us the most delicious Okonomiyaki I’ve ever eaten. At the end of the dinner we got some sake and he even offered as a present some more sake of a different and special kind. I felt so blessed and can’t wait to come back to visit when in Hiroshima. ごちそうさまでした！ありがとうございました😊
