More Comments at Google MapThis is teppan izakaya [Konamonya]. When you go up the stairs and enter the entrance, you will see a large window and your expectations will be exceeded, as you will find a bright interior that resembles a fruit parlor. Due to its location, it seems to be crowded with office workers and office ladies on weekdays, but since I visited on a Saturday night, I was able to relax and enjoy the scenery outside the window. I was tempted by the restaurant's name and decided to order their signature okonomiyaki from the moment I walked up the stairs. What appeared was a fluffy and very elegant okonomiyaki filled with dashi soup and flavor! Katsuobushi and green seaweed are dancing on a stage of mayonnaise and sauce♪ This is exactly the real size. I usually use paper towels myself at a shop in the downtown area, and this is it! I baked it with all my heart, it was so heavy (sweat), it was full of heartburn. It was an okonomiyaki that was completely different from [a lump of udon flour]. *I like that though (lol) I was so moved by its softness that I forgot that it was a cat's tongue and let the force of it bite me, and then I extinguished the scorching heat with a cold beer (lol) Another thing to go with the beer was the red pickled ginger tempura. Above all, it was a wonderful shop with a fair-skinned mom's bright smile and quiet, gentle tone. I left the store with a promise to visit again.
It's a small shop run by a married couple. The pickled ginger tempura and melty potato salad are addictive. Okonomiyaki is a must. It's fluffy. The exterior and interior may not be called stylish, but it's a hidden gem that gives you a sense of security and that you'll want to visit if you're in the neighborhood.
Konamonya was brought to me by a colleague at work. Lunch is reasonably priced at 700-800 yen, including small bowls and vegetables. Hardworking daughter and father? It's good to be in the middle of the day. I want to go again
