I ate at this cozy place a last month with my wife. It was excellent! We were asked if we can speak Japanese when we walked in, given that it is run by a nice couple who sadly can't cater to non speakers. Thankfully our broken Japanese was good enough. "Mom" took good care of us as a host: she cooked for us, chatted and laughed with us and even gave my wife some of her favourite local snacks on the way out, she was so happy we came. This place stands out for being a warm true mom+pop Japanese restaurant that stood out as very memorable on our trip. This is in contrast to the majority of other places we went to that had English menus, but which otherwise felt like cold faceless transactions. I'm very glad we ate here. The food was delicious and we had a really good time. It was one of those reinforcing experiences that encourages me to continue learning Japanese. We hope to visit again someday!

Taste, Service, Mood were all the best :) It was our family’s first dinner in Tokyo and I see it was the best decision! And good start of our trip :) We tried Okonomiyaki and Monjayaki and they were perfect. Since we could not read all the menu, lady there explained each good ingredient and recommended us mixed monjayaki with prawn and Okonomiyaki with spring onion, beef tendon and cheese. I dare to say it is the must-go place once you visited Tateishi! They said Monjayaki is one of their soul food in that place. It is fun to learn new culture and food :D 맛, 서비스, 분위기 전부 최고! 강추! 특히 아주머니 너무 좋으셔서 진짜 이번 여행 최고의 선택이라고 생각합니다!

Number one! I ate a monja named ``Monja''. It's delicious and lives up to its name! It was monja. I've never eaten it anywhere else. I haven't been here before because it's far from Tateishi Station, but I think I'll be coming here from now on. There are other things I want to try, and the quality of the ingredients seems to be high. I think it's an old store, but it's kept clean and feels very safe as a restaurant. I'm glad that there are shops in Tateishi where you can find bargains.
