Mishima, Shizuoka, Japan｜お好み焼き PIYO 三島広小路

Just by chance, we picked Piyo-chan's okonomiyaki restaurant for dinner during our short trip to Mishima. Though the weather was miserable not allowing us to enjoy the amazing views towards Mt Fuji, Piyo-Chan immediately lightened up our moods with her bright personality when entering her restaurant. Only seats at the bar where free and we were directly invited by her, her husband, and Ha-chan to sit there so we can watch them preparing the okonomiyaki. We went for two kimchi-natto-bacon and one seafood okonomiyaki. Piyo-chan also accepted any extra wishes like no mayo / extra cheese. The food was delicious and paired perfectly with the homemade plum wine. But the actual highlight were the atmosphere and the amazing service. We had so much fun together with everyone including the other guests who were regular customers of Piyo. We recommend to have a translator app ready, if you don't speak any Japanese (specially Google Lens for translation of the menu). Generally, if you like okonomiyaki or good company while having dinner, we highly recommend checking out Piyo's okonomiyaki restaurant! ありがとございますピヨちゃん、ババ、はちゃん！

We met in a post-typhoon day in Mishima. And she swept all of my unhappiness and frustration of the weather out with her positive energy and amazing food. The atmosphere in the restaurant was epic and I really enjoyed this night. Thank you Piyo and your anata and also ha chan❤️.

The restaurant is a little small, but it's stylish and it's built on the concept of sharing happiness. The food is good and the drinks are big. Great if you love okonomiyaki!
