Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan｜Ikaruga-no-sato

Absolutely enjoyed the okonomiyaki and yakisoba here. If you're looking for a local and authentic spot, look no further. The proprietor speaks English too, having spent a year in Sydney, Australia in the 90s. She explained the process and also provided a menu in English. We much preferred her okonomiyaki to that of Hiroshima's.

We had the best yakisoba of our trip in Japan so far and the miso/onions okinomiyaki was especially good! The lady chef was lovely and the overall experience was authentic and nice. We recommend! :)

Delicious shrimp okonomiyaki!!! The owner was lovely, and helped us learn a few words/phrases in Japanese too! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Matsumoto. We loved it!!!
