Wonderful old fashioned Hiroshima style okonomiyaki place. The owner, Tenka-san and his wife create massive pancakes stuffed with pork belly, noodles, seafood and cabbage, on a large teppan grill. You sit at the bar and eat off the very grill, while Tenka-san regales you in Japanese about his mother's old shop in Hiroshima and the differences between people there and in the Tokyo region where his current shop is. The house specialty, Ten Yoshi, includes a type of dried, fried squid called Ika ten that adds an umami punch to the pancake. Along with plenty of bonito, kombu and aonori powder and a spread of sweet, tart Otafuku sauce, it's a hearty and incredible meal. Beer includes the basic Kirin bottles and an interesting Hiroshima military themed craft beer that comes in Pilsner, Alt and Weizen varieties. Highly recommend the Pilsner.

Authentic Hiroshima okonomiyaki restaurant. You can also choose udon with or without soba. If an adult were to eat it for dinner, I think one piece would be a little light (so you might want to add more vegetables, more noodles, or order another piece).

This is the first Hiroshima-yaki. I'd like some udon too. I am very satisfied
