Taiyaki (¥190) An chewy-inside-but-crispy-outside taiyaki was absolutely amazing! The shop owner is a son of a rice processing company in Koka, Shiga. Taking advantage of his deep knowledge of rice and its versatility, he decided to open up his taiyaki shop. I’ve gone to many taiyaki shops but this is one of the best! Hope you enjoy the-state-of-the-art taiyaki and scent of Shiga-born high quality rice flour!

This is a taiyaki shop along the old National Route 1 (now Prefectural Route 4) (*｀･ω･)ゞ There are 2-3 parking lots in front of the store and a large temporary parking lot next to the store. The store has a very small space. If you don't have it on the product shelf, you can ask the store clerk to provide you with a freshly baked one. The menu includes custard, strained bean paste, Biwako Blue, and unusual taiyaki such as super spicy (ﾟ∀ﾟ*) The taiyaki itself has a thin, crispy texture, probably because the dough is mixed with rice flour. (ФωФ) There was plenty of bean paste inside from head to tail, and I was very satisfied. At this time of year, the combination with hot hojicha is the most delicious.
