Otsu, Shiga, Japan｜焼肉酒場まほろば

We had a wonderful time at this Yakiniku restaurant. This was my first visit to this restaurant. We were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to have dinner here. The beef is top quality and reasonably priced. If this restaurant were in Tokyo, you would have to pay more than double the price. I enjoyed the Omi-beef. The organ of Omi-beef is also good. I really liked the beef tongue. It may not be a common choice for foreigners, but it is definitely worth a try. The staff was amazingly friendly and willing to talk to us. We were very satisfied and would return again if the opportunity arose. I think it could be used as a bar, so there are 3 or 4 counter seats and some Japanese whiskey. Anyway, thanks for a great time!

This was a short distance from our ryokan zo we thought we’d try it out. The food was AMAZING, the service was fantastic. Highly recommend. It’s quiet and cozy with very very nice owners and the meat is soooo good 👌👌👌

Great food, service, atmosphere. Came here during a stay at Biwako Ryokusuitei Onsen. Server was very friendly and helped us feel welcome as we are not locals.
