Matsusaka, Mie, Japan｜Isshobin, Hiraomachi Branch

2023/07/27(Thursday) After finishing the bicycle tour in Asuka Village, we took the train bound for Mie County from Asuka Station and arrived at Matsusaka Station. Like many stations in Mie County, Matsusaka Station is also a shared station between JR and Kintetsu. Therefore, although we used Kintetsu's Super Passport, we exitted and entered the station through JR's ticket gates. We arrived at this restaurant at about 7:00 pm. When we opened the door, an old lady greeted us with a smile on her face. There were already some customers dining inside. When the old lady learned that there were five of us, she took us to a private room inside rapidly. The restaurant was small, but full of the unique flavor of the old store. We ordered two mixed platters, one offal, one lettuce, one mushroom, five bowls of rice and drinks. The quality of the beef was very good. It was top-class Matsusaka beef which really melted in my mouth. It was even more delicious when paired with lettuce and a special dipping sauce. Because the food was so delicious, there were many customers in the restaurant. When we finished our meal and left there, there were lots of customers queuing outside. The beef in this restaurant was really delicious. After our bike tour of Asuka Village, we got on the bike from Asuka Station, headed towards Mie Prefecture, and got off when we arrived at Matsusaka Station. Like many stations in Mie Prefecture, Matsusaka Station is also a shared station between JR and Kintetsu, so we took the Kintetsu Super Passport to enter and exit the station through the JR ticket machine. We arrived at this restaurant at about 7:00 pm, opened the door, and met an old woman who greeted us with a smile on her face. There were already some customers dining in the store. Mouthwatering goodness oozing out of the famed Matsusaka beef. We had a stopover just to try it here and it did not dissapoint. Comparable to Kobe beef at half the price. Try it before it gets too famous and pricey! Service was excellent and quick as well

Awesome, busy little place. Everything was delicious but the Matsusaka Sirloin was the BEST !! Price was reasonable for quality.
