Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima, Japan｜Yoshida

I heard that Aizuwakamatsu is famous for Sauce Katsudon and Sakura (raw horse). I waited an hour to eat at this restaurant and I was so happy I did because it was delicious. I got the sakura nigiri set and the whole thing was amazing. The owners also seemed very happily surprised an Australian was in their restaurant which made me feel very welcomed. The prices are too cheap in my opinion for the quality. If I’m ever in Aizu again I will definitely visit.

The taste was completely different from any other horse meat I've ever eaten. The sakura hotpot was really delicious. The proprietress of the restaurant took great care of me, so I was able to enjoy my meal with peace of mind. It was a family run business, and it was a rare sight to see children helping out, which made me feel warm. I will visit you again when I come to Aizuwakamatsu. Thank you for the meal.
