I don't see many english reviews for this place, and I think this place deserves one for sure. We went for dinner at this place since we were staying at Kuretake Inn nearby. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic. When the waiters/waitresses knew we had difficulties with reading the menu since it's only in Japanese (we could only read basic Japanese), they tried their best to translate in english for us. We ended up ordering the number 1 (beef tongue) and number 3 (didn't note the cut of the meat) most popular dishes to try and they will tell you the beef dishes that you can pick from. Try telling them "o-su-su-me", meaning "recommendation" as a start to the ordering conversation. They have meats available in thin / thick cut, and it's a great experience grilling the thick cut meat over the charcoal fire, and the meat is very good quality. Be sure to dip it with the various condiments available. The waitress might alert you at the start to try the beef with just salt ("shio"), but it's great as well. Price was a bargain as well for what we got. If you happen to order a particular beef dish and they tell you "no fire", be aware that it means that the dish is supposed to be eaten raw. Whilst it's our first time trying a dish with raw beef, the seasoning sauce and egg made it a very pleasant first try. We got the caesar salad as well, which they gladly split into two seperate bowls for two people. You might want to skip trying grilling chicken though - it's a subpar experience compared to the beef. After the meal, they provide you with a warm towel and also a glass lens cleaner. When you step out of the door, they bid you goodbye with warm, genuine hospitality and deodourize you with a febreeze spray as well - kind thoughtful touches that augmented the overall dining experience. It's a place that we'll head to again in Okayama when we're back next time!
Nice guys and nice place !
