Koriyama, Fukushima, Japan｜Yakiniku Uesugi - Koriyama

A nice place to get yakiniku. Kind of fancy. But not over the top. Prices seemed reasonable to me. I suggest you make a reservation. We called at 12:30 p.m. on a Sunday and got a reservation for 1:00 p.m. An unexpected nice surprise here is that if you are vegan or vegetarian, this is actually a decent option especially if you have other family members who want to eat meat. They have a number of vegetable options that you can get and cook on the barbecue such as cabbage, kabocha, mushrooms, onions. By default they do put a sauce on the cabbage however they told us the ingredients and I think it is all vegan but you should check. It's a really tasty sauce, no oil in it. I bet they can leave it off for you or bring it on the side if you want. Various options for rice here as well. Note that the yaki onigiri only comes with meat inside of it. There are some seafood options as well. I have the scallops and they were great. Nice service here.

Yakiniku with friends at Uesugi-san for the first time in a while! It was absolutely delicious! The skirt steak and sirloin were tender and delicious with both meat and flavor. The atmosphere in the room was nice, and the staff were very cheerful. It's nice that the toilets are clean.
