Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan｜Yakiniku Dining MEGUMI Minamihachijoten

We came in for a late lunch after arriving in Sapporo after lunch, and rate this place a 5/5. It was pretty much empty as it’s a weekday and about 2.30pm. We got some great quality meat, delicious food, good drinks and lovely service. English menu also available.

Randomly chanced upon this yakiniku place on a rainy night. As we have no prior reservation, we were given the counter seats. Nonetheless, privacy was not compromised as the curtain used to segregate the diners. Would suggest to make prior reservation as the restaurant started to turn away customers when they reached full capacity. The wagyu beef was the bomb and the Yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) complemented it perfectly. T’was a satisfying good meal in the cold weather.

Excellent food-the meat is amazing. We all really loved and ate everything we ordered. Service is also great - you place your order direct in a multi-lingual iPad app above the table/bar. Highly recommended.
