Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan｜Charcoal grilled Yakiniku Mutton Lamb Tanukikoji Yamagoya

Date of visit : 28 Apr 2023 Time : 12.30 pm We stumbled upon this by chance while walking along Tanukikoji Shopping Street. It’s located in the basement. The interior is quite warm and inviting. Place looks nice and the waitresses are welcoming. We only wanted the wagyu so we ordered 3 types. And 1 beef “hormone” - not quite sure what it is. Only the beef “hormone” is not fantastic to us. Otherwise all the wagyu is delicious. I even finished 2 bowls of rice. Very good service and beef wagyu.

I went in alone and had a great time. There weren't many items, but they all looked delicious and I was satisfied. It was a little late, so there weren't many customers, but I was able to relax. I ate Genghis Khan alone, but I received a polite response. The serving plate is in the shape of Hokkaido, and I personally like this kind of presentation. There were many other things I wanted to try, such as lamb and beef, but I gave up because I was full. .

Very happy to find a great barbecue restaurant in Tanuki Road: *If you want to eat Wagyu beef or Genghis Khan mutton, we have them here. There are also many types of meat parts and the prices are reasonable. *The barbecue uses a charcoal stove. Although the exhaust system is very good in the basement, there is no smell of oily smoke, and the dining seats are also very spacious. *Friendly reception by service staff. *Lunch limited value set menu is available at noon. It’s great to be able to eat barbecue alone! *Hand-cut meat slices are cut by the chef on site, very fresh.
