Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan｜広島お好み焼き 宮澤

Initially hesitated to dine here due to some of the negative reviews but our parents were craving for some okonomiyaki in this cold weather. It was an unexpected surprise as all the dishes we ordered were really tasty especially the potato salad, grilled vegetables (super fresh local veg which was hard to find in Japanese restaurants - we ordered 2x), sea urchin & spinach (this was sooooo good 😌), grilled shrimp & scallops with garlic, A5 💯 For Okonomiyaki, contrary to the reviews, all of us thought the portion was huge! I must say I still prefer the cooking style of Okonomiyaki in Hiroshima / Osaka that is more flavourful & moist. The noodles here was albeit dry and tasted undercooked so maybe needs some room for improvement. Service wise was great and the staff were attentive to our needs 🙏🏻 appreciate that one of the staff even helped us to divide the okonomiyaki into equal portions Definitely recommend if you’re around Matsumoto 👍 On a side note, I was impressed by the aroma peppermint wet towel that was given to customers. A well-thought gesture and a nice touch to end our meal ✨

Good quality food and service ….. reasonable price …….. beef steak is superb , grill Vegetable also great.

Ignore the 3.8 star review, this is divine. Granted, I don’t know the true “Hiroshima” style okinomiyaki, but I was addicted to this plate. Could not be more excited to go to an onsen, then crash after this.
