Gamagori, Aichi, Japan｜Kanekawa

At my travel destination, I wanted to try Mikawa's eel, so I researched it and came to the store. The storefront has a warm atmosphere. I ordered an eel set meal (3000 yen). The old-fashioned bowl is wonderful, and when you open the lid, you will find a large eel with a sauce. It's thick, fluffy and juicy on the inside, and slightly crispy on the outside. The flavor of the charcoal fire spreads, and the taste of the delicious sauce matches well. Both of us were exhausted from the trip, but our appetites suddenly sprang up and we ate more and more. In addition to fluffy rice, liver soup is also the best. It soaked into my tired body and warmed me up! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture...it was so delicious! I entered without knowing it, but this is the location of the drama "The best Obahan Haruko Nakajima"! Celebrities such as Mao Daichi and Marika Matsumoto have visited. The shop owner taught me about the shooting and what happened at that time. Conversation about the area and about us was lively, and it was a friendly and warm shop from beginning to end. I definitely want to go again♪

Kanekawa is by far the best eel restaurant in the Gamagori area in terms of eel, sauce, grilling method, and customer service.

The sauce is exquisite. The eel chazuke and chawanmushi are delicious. The atmosphere isn't great, but if it's delicious, there's nothing to complain about.
