More Comments at Google MapEasy-to-use casual kappo (^^)/ This is a Japanese restaurant that has been popular in the Nishi-Hachioji area for some time. It used to operate near Fujimori Park, but in 2022 it moved to near Nishi-Hachioji Station. I think the main point is that the entire entrance side is made of glass, making it very easy for customers to enter at first glance. There are plenty of counter seats, and the restaurant can accommodate both groups and solo customers. For lunch, the cheapest menu is around 1200 yen. Before the move, there was a more reasonable menu, but considering the current situation and the contents of the dishes, I think it's still cheap. The restaurant's recommended menu is eel and kamameshi, but they also have other Japanese dishes. Lunch comes with coffee or madder tea. A large serving of rice costs 100 yen more. This is a highly recommended Japanese restaurant in Nishi-Hachioji (^_-)
I visited Kojima, famous for its kamameshi, around 12 noon on a very hot day. When I entered the entrance and went up the stairs to the second floor seats, 70 to 80% of the seats were already filled with seniors and families. I'm alone, so I sit at the back of the counter. Hot tea and towels will be provided immediately. After looking at the menu, I decided on the Ankake Tofu Hamburger Lunch, which comes with a variety of small side dishes, for 980 yen (excluding tax). For drinks, I ordered iced coffee before the meal. After waiting for about 10 minutes after the iced coffee was served, various things were served on a large plate. A pot and rice scoop, miso soup, chawanmushi, simmered dishes, tuna, pickles, hamburger steak and potato salad. It's quite fulfilling, with more than just one soup and ten dishes. Now, after scooping out the freshly cooked barley rice from the pot, it's time to eat it. The miso soup is made with wakame and wheat gluten. Next, I will have ankake tofu hamburger. It is delicious with a gentle soy sauce flavor. Furthermore, serve the tororo over barley rice. The melty soup stock and freshly cooked barley rice are absolutely delicious. The simmered dishes are also good, with lightly flavored ingredients such as wheat gluten, taro, pumpkin, and kelp. The potato salad is also delicious, and the chawan mushi is quite delicious with the shiitake mushrooms and dashi soup. I'm originally a meat eater, but the dishes made with the dashi soup were delicious.
I visited for lunch✨ The eel kamameshi was delicious and the charred rice was just right.
