Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan｜Unagi Denbe

Great place to taste unagi. A little pricey, around ¥4000 for one eel piece without any set, but hard to find better deal in Japan, especially in such touristic cities. Service was excellent, kind and friendly. The restaurant is well designed and the atmosphere is great. They had space for 8 without issues.

I had lunch at 13.00 on saturday. No q line for dine in. It's a 2 story restauran, and almost full when i got there. That's why there's no line outside But there's small line if you want to order the unagi snack n small bowl for takeout The unagi is excellent, a bit pricey but it's standard for unagi restaurant in japan The unagi is tender, balance of sweet n tasty. U'll get a set of unaju n soup Free refill ocha A kind of keychain for payment when you finished your meal

Ordered the cold sake and Torounagi bowl. But the best dish was the unagi tasting set (modern and traditional) Service was impecable. Decor was very traditional, well suited for Kawagoe.
