Meguro City, Tokyo, Japan｜Meguro Daikokuya

We were walking around the Meguro promenade during the Sakura meguro festival after sunset and were looking for an unagi restaurant in the near, it is only 3 minutes from the promenade. Once there the owner helped us to choose from the small but nice menu, you get here soft eel on rice and if you wish you get grilled eel as starter. They also serve pickled appetizers and a nicely balanced miso-like clear soup. All in all a very small and great unagi jewel near the meguro river promenade, would highly recommend if you like unagi on rice!

Absolutely delicious meal. Staff are very kind and friendly. The chef speaks good English as well. Will come again and highly recommend

We didnt actually know where we were going and ended up at this fabulous little unagi restaraunt. The only protein they serve is eel and it they do it well. You can tell this simple little restaraunt loves what they make.
