For local lunch on the weekends, go to a restaurant in Juban where you can get eel at a reasonable price. The location is not in the Juban shopping street, but in an inconspicuous alley, and you enter the store through the line of "Pointage" next to it. The inside of the store is a clean Showa-era eel restaurant. There aren't that many seats, and there doesn't seem to be any tatami seating. I was the first one, so I sat alone at a four-seater table and looked at the lunch menu. I'm glad they have a lunch menu even on Saturdays. I didn't want to give up the yakitori-don or the oyako-don either, but since this is a restaurant that mainly serves eel, I decided on the most expensive item on the lunch menu: ``Una-ju'' (1,650 yen)! The French pair who entered the store at about the same time as me seemed to have made a reservation, and the eel appeared in about 5 minutes, but I must have waited over 20 minutes. However, I'm impressed that it was baked properly. The long-awaited obon tray was filled with a full lineup of eel rice bowls with lids, soup, kinpira burdock, mini salad, and pickles. Generally, the only things that come with eel jus are soup and pickled vegetables, and some restaurants charge extra for soup, so it's quite generous. The eel is a half-tail, but it is steam-grilled until plump, and the spicy sauce permeates throughout. The body is thick and has a great presence. Sprinkle with Japanese pepper and enjoy. Anyway, it's nice to have a variety of chopstick rests, not just pickles. It perfectly covers the small size of the eel. With this, you can enjoy it as a set meal even on weekday lunches. When paying the bill, I had a long conversation with the lovely, smiling landlady. All the customers on this day were foreigners except me. Apparently they don't usually come here that often. A luxurious lunch, yet reasonably priced. I felt like I had earned it.

It was made carefully and I was impressed. You can really feel that the ingredients are fresh. The taste and price are more than enough. Also, the couple is very kind and warm. It's a corona misfortune, but the ventilation is good and you can rest assured!

I've only been there for lunch, but lunch is full of great deals
