More Comments at Google MapDuring my most recent visit to Tokyo, I needed to find a wonderful Unagi (grilled freshwater eel) restaurant. While I was at the Matsuya department store in Ginza, I went up to the upper floors to look for such a restaurant, and found this gem! I had a wonderful, set lunch of grilled eel on rice, delicious soup, tsukemono (pickled vegetables) and tea. The grilled eel was cooked to perfection. It was very tender and flaked apart with chopsticks. Loved the warm hearty soup with enoki mushrooms and small cubes of tofu. It was a delicious lunch and I was so happy to have the opportunity to enjoy unagi, once again. The service was excellent and they were very patient as I stumbled to order off their menu.

When I want to eat eel, I come here. The meat is plump and soft, and the sauce has a perfect balance of neither too sweet nor too spicy, making it so delicious that you can eat it in one go. Personally, I like Chuo University.
