[I finally visited the eel restaurant that I was interested in, and the kabayaki that I had been waiting for seemed to grab the stomachs of the regulars (^ ^)] It's a 5-minute walk from Jimbocho Station, along the road near Takebashi that runs parallel to Suzuran Street, and Kitchen Nankai is one block away. It's a small restaurant, but it's popular with regulars during lunchtime. The eel ball bowl (without liver soup), which is only available at lunchtime, seems to be particularly popular. The skin of the eel is well charred and crispy, and when you cut it with chopsticks, the meat inside is plump. was The price of eel on rice is not particularly expensive considering the recent eel situation, and it is a restaurant that you would like to use for an occasional reward lunch.
I made a mistake in the date and time on the day of my appointment, but the owner was happy to make the change. It was worth the wait. The sauce was not sweet, just right, and the fat was sizzling and matched well between the skin and the meat. It has become my favorite eel restaurant. (I'll go again.) Also, in the bottom of the 9th inning of the WBC game against Mexico, I cheered for the comeback and shared joy with the owner of the win, and I had some great memories with Unagori Japan.
