Hiratsuka, Kanagawa, Japan｜うなぎの心

I knew from other reviews that the eel at this restaurant was soft, but it was so good! It is "soft" and "mellow". I couldn't help but remember the softness of the food I had eaten at a famous restaurant in western Japan, and I made a strong decision to come eat here every month. I wonder if people who give 4 stars or less are rating things based on something else rather than "taste"? That's what I thought (lol) The bitterness, astringency, sweetness, acidity, and spiciness were all well-balanced and I enjoyed it. It's a bit disappointing that the table is a little small and I can't get drinking water from a pitcher (I'm diabetic so I drink a lot of water). Therefore, I thought it would be nice if there was a woman standing at the cash register and refilling the water when I ran out of water (there was no one there, probably because she wanted to entertain the customers with conversation 😢). The seasoning is stronger than that of Shizuoka restaurants and thinner than other Kanto restaurants, but it's still quite good. The price was about 1000 yen cheaper than other stores and it was perfect. Nowadays, I'm a tempura bowl fanatic, but until 10 years ago I was an eel fanatic, so I went all over the country eating them (lol) I'm so happy to have such a wonderful shop in Hiratsuka! I'm local but it's a little far away so I'm sorry I only do it once a month 💦 I'll be back again ♫

I came to the eel restaurant of my hot spring friends 😊 It's a nice store with a nice atmosphere and staff. The parking lot was a little far from the store, about a 1 minute walk. I received the special eel😋 It was so soft and plump that one of the fish disappeared (lol) It was so delicious that everyone ate it in silence. Since you apply the sauce yourself, you can adjust it. The numbing sensation of Japanese pepper is also irresistible. The price is also surprisingly reasonable, and I highly recommend it 😊

On my birthday, my husband treated me to eel. It was tender and delicious. The staff at the store also had a soft demeanor and made me feel relaxed.
