Awesome family-run Unagi/Yakitori Izakaya shop in Isogo. These are the most friendly people you will meet, and the owner (in photos) is full of stories and can tell you about the history of the area and how things have changed. His wife is lovely and full of sweet things to say. Their yakitori sticks are ~60 yen, and their prices haven't changed since the starting days of the shop! They only speak Japanese, but they will have a crack at a few phrases, which is a lot of fun. The unagi and yakitori are great-I can smell it wafting from meters away :D

Very delicious yakitori. The sauce is the best! And it's cheap at 60 yen per bottle! Just watching yakitori grilling makes me salivate. I want this kind of yakitori restaurant that grills food right in front of your eyes to continue for a long time.

This is an old-fashioned yakitori restaurant located in the Shirahata shopping district. The grandma at the store always makes yakitori for me. My family loves the yakitori here, and we buy it every time we pass by. The prices are reasonable, and it's one of those stores that I wish would stay open forever.
