Delicious Unagi (grilled eel)! Nice staff.

A long-established eel restaurant. The atmosphere is also very good. The eel is plump and delicious.

I was watching TV Tokyo's ``Ad Street Heaven'' and saw ``Unagi Kappo Shinkawa'' introduced and was interested, so I made a reservation and went there during lunch time. <<Basic information>> 〇A long-established store founded in 1896 〇The only store in the city that sells “Bando Taro” brand eel (Incidentally, in the neighboring Kashiwa City, there is also a store called ``Owada'' that uses the same ``Bando Taro'' name.) 〇In addition to "Bando Taro," they also offer slightly cheaper eel from Kyushu etc. 〇 ``Shinkawa Eel Day'' is a day with a 9 in every month, and the service price is 10% off. 〇There are various menus other than eel. 〇Please take off your shoes before entering the store. 〇His Majesty the Emperor once visited when he was the Crown Prince. << Impressions >> In short, it is a long-established high-class Japanese restaurant in Nagareyama City. (They are especially famous for their eel. Of course, they also have a menu with cheaper prices. Compared to the high-end famous eel restaurants in Tokyo, the prices are low. It's a perfect place to bring your parents on a special day. do.) On the day of your reservation, take the Tobu Urban Park Line train and get off at Canal Station. After getting off the station, I walk along the Tone Canal and walk toward the store while looking at the calm and comfortable scenery. When you arrive at the store (imagine turning slightly left along the Tone Canal and entering from the back), you will be guided to the second floor by extremely kind and courteous customer service. The seats prepared for us were nice seats with beautiful cherry blossoms in spring. I had made a reservation for Taro Bando's ``Okushi'', so it was served to me quickly within 10 minutes of taking my seat. (It seems that the food was cooked according to the time of arrival.) When you open the lid of Unajyu, it smells very nice. When I tried eating it, the eel was quite meaty and had a rich eel flavor similar to natural eel, and it was not greasy and had a refreshing feel that melted in my mouth. The sauce is a light one that has been made for over 100 years, and I found it a little interesting that it had a slight taste of mirin, which reminded me of Nagareyama, a famous mirin production area. The rice was a little hard and the portion was a little large. (It was a little too much for me as an elderly person) Taro Bando's ``Okushi'' costs 7,370 yen, but since the day I visited was a 9 day, I got a 10% discount and the price was 6,700 yen. I was very grateful for the discounted price. I was very satisfied with the taste of a long-established restaurant in a relaxed and calm atmosphere.
