This place serves bloody excellent unagi. Superbly fresh, perfectly grilled with a hint of charcoal flavour. The eels are still alive 30 minutes before you actually eat them - this also means that you should be prepared for a short wait for them to kill and grill the eels. You can't really go wrong with any of the unagi dishes, but I would recommend the hitsumabushi. The wife and me did take away this round, but still fully enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner, just to enjoy grilled eels. There is ample seating, and we have never had to really wait to get seats. The overall feel is really of an old school japanese restaurant, with service and ambience to match. Beware though, they only take cash, so make sure you bring paper money with you to pay for the meals.

Very tasty eel restaurant .

I received the hitsumabushi. Liver sucking is a good deal at this price. The eel was meaty and voluminous, and the sauce was slightly sweet and delicious. Thick, warm towels are available in fewer stores these days. Next time I want to eat eel, I'll come here. Thank you for the meal.
